The Qallyqx Foundation though registered in 2023 but the thought and the intention behind it goes back 3 generations. Ishpreet belongs to a family that has been actively involved in philanthropy and upliftment of others since the 1960s. He grew up with the tradition of giving ‘Daswandh’ - A Sikh concept where 10% of the income is kept aside and this becomes God’s Bank that you are in charge of.
While the concept of giving is deeply ingrained in all religions in India, the Daswandh specifically ordains the 90:10 concept. You are only responsible for 90% of your income. The balance 10% is God’s income and must be used carefully and responsibly towards philanthropy.
This money was given discerningly towards helping the needy for their education, medical expenses, providing legal aid and much more. Furthermore, aid was given not just with money but also time, knowledge and connects, anything that could be done to help.
The dream of formalising the Daswandh; ensuring its implementation and longevity; was shared in full by our other partner and so was born the Qallyqx Foundation.
Through the Qallyqx Foundation, we hope to implement multiple channels to aid and assist those in need. The only aim shall be to uplift others, provide them with opportunities as one should ordinarily receive.
The aim is always to help people grow.
